I'm sorry guys. I really, really am. I tried re-blogging with this new blogger version of AGDC, but unfortunately, as you can tell, I haven't been keeping up with it.

It's not like I haven't been online, though. I've been on Picasa making photo stories, on AGPT and AGF message boards, youtube, etc. So, don't think for a minute that I'm losing interest in dolls!

Lately I've been really wanting to make a blog for one of my dolls instead of making a general one. That's why I have some great news for you today!

Julie has a blog! A new, fun, blog that she's doing a great job of keeping up with. AGPT has inspired me to expand her character even more. TODAY, JULY 31, IS THE 2-YEAR ANNIVERSARY FOR MY FIRST EVER AMERICAN GIRL BLOG, AMERICAN GIRL DOLL CENTRAL.
Wow. All I can say is...wow! I cannot believe two years have gone past. Just 2 years ago, I was a little 10 year old who barely knew how to use the computer correctly. And now, I have a youtube, blog, picasa....and have met SO many friends and fans. I'd like to give a shout out to Leanna Leanna, you have been with me from the START, right when I first made my blog and you are still an amazing OBFF to me. Hannie, I have had so much fun emailing and skyping over the years! You have become an awesome friend!! And all you Picasa girls...I can't name you all but you know who you are. I love you guys- you are just amazing and the reason I keep on doing this. To those of you who kept staying my fan even when I disappeared from the web months, you guys are just awesome. To Mrs.O'Connor, thank you again so much for making and sending me that wonderful bed. My dolls still use it every day! :D
And then, there are LOTS more who I'd love to name but if I did, I'd never finish this post.
Today I was looking at some of my first posts on my original website....I honestly got a little teary-eyed.

This was AGDC exactly two years ago. I jumbled up my dolls together and wanted to make a good website people would like. Here is my first post:
"Hello everyone! I hope you all like my new website, American Girl Doll Central. It is all about fun, cool stuff that American Girl fans and their dolls do! I will be posting new posts as much as possible, stay tuned!"

I wanted to aspire to be just like Quinlyn or Liz, who had AG blogs that I read every day and loved.

Red, White, and Blue--Happy 4th of July!

Today we celebrate the 235th birthday of the United States of America.
We go to parades, have cookouts, celebrate with fireworks. We wear red, white, and blue clothes and put flags in our yards. We get together with friends and family.
Sometimes, though, we forget to thank those who gave us our freedom.

Today, thank God for giving you a place to live like America. You have so many opportunities. You have food, water, clothes, freedom, and a home. People in many other countries can't say that.
Second, pray for those who are fighting to give us freedom. Pray for the thousands of soldiers and veterans, and pray for their families. They are risking their lives for their country and they don't always get the appreciation they deserve.
If you see a veteran today at a parade or just anywhere, go up to them and just say, "Thank you for fighting for our country."

So, what are you doing to celebrate today? I already went to a parade this morning (I took Elaine and got some pictures of her in front of the floats). We are having a cookout tonight and going downtown to see fireworks with family and some friends.
Okay, my dolls aren't all dressed up in red, white, and blue this year---they are all in costume for the Anastasia movie. But I did put Elaine (my Lanie) in a cute white dress and tied some red and blue ribbons in her hair. So she's good to go :)

I'm dressed in a cute, white frilly top and jean shorts. I'm wearing red shoes and have a red bow in my hair. I painted my nails, too...on one hand, I pained red and white stripes on the nails and on the other hand I painted a blue background then decorated it with sparkles-it looks like fireworks!

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.

Almost two years ago....

......I created my first-ever blog, American Girl Doll Central. The picture above was taken just after Sam arrived and was my first ever picture for AGDC. Boy, have we come a long way! I only had 7 dolls back then (Mia and the other Kit are my friends dolls, not mine) and since then 6 more girls have become a part of our family-Lulu, Kathleen, Elsie, Julie, Lanie (AKA Elaine), and Nahji. And July 31, just a little longer than a month away, I will be celebrating the 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of AGDC. Wow. Wow. Wow! Time really flies by. Some of you have been my fans and friends since the very beginning, and some of you are new friends. I love you and appreciate you all! You guys are just awesome. I couldnt ask for better friends!

Little Miss Playthings!

I could only hope so! I'm so excited that this year, I will be competing in Little Miss Playthings 2011! I've watched the contest for the last couple years and really wanted to join but couldn't, since it's required to have an AG Playthings Message Board account and to have that, you have to be 13 years old and up. And I'm only 12, so I never could. But this year, I'm going to do it from my mom's account which we just made yesterday! I'm so excited! But I'm still gonna have to wait until next year to start being able to read and post on the actual forum. ;)

It's funny-I sometimes watch Toddlers & Tiaras and this feels like a pageant for dolls. But, the categories are far from "Beauty", "Talent", "Swimsuit Competition". No, the categories we'll have to compete in are SPOOKY, SHAPES, SCIENCE, SOLO, AND S'ANYTHING GOES. See why I chose my lovable little tomboy Sam? Heehee! I definitely know what I'm doing for Solo and Shapes, and I have an idea for S'Anything Goes (LOL), but for the other ones I'm clueless! I'm doing a lot of brainstorming right now, racking my brain for unique ideas that no one else will think of (I hope). Last year, like 75% of competitors had their dolls eating alphabet soup for the category Alphabet. And I bet they were all thinking that the alphabet soup thing was super unique! FAIL. LOL!

The contest is from June 10- July 22, and I hope you guys will vote for Sam and help her take the third place title of Littlest Miss Playthings!!!! (no way we'd win first place, there are some stinking great photographers out there!!! Haha!
